माधवी-प्रदानम् (Mādhavī Offered to Gālava) — Udyoga Parva 113
प्रतिगृह्य॒ च सत्कारैरघ्र्यपाद्यादिकं वरम् पृष्टेश्षागमने हेतुमुवाच विनतासुत:,राजाके द्वारा सत्कारपूर्वक दिये हुए श्रेष्ठ अर्घ्य-पाद्य आदि ग्रहण करके विनतानन्दन गरुड़ने उनके पूछनेपर अपने आगमनका प्रयोजन इस प्रकार बताया--
pratigṛhya ca satkārair arghya-pādyādikaṁ varam pṛṣṭeṣv āgamane hetum uvāca vinatāsutaḥ
രാജാവ് ആദരപൂർവം നൽകിയ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ അർഘ്യ-പാദ്യാദികൾ സ്വീകരിച്ച ശേഷം, ചോദിക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ വിനതാസുതൻ ഗരുഡൻ തന്റെ വരവിന്റെ കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചു.
