ससागरवनामुर्वी सशैलवनकाननाम् | आकर्षन्निव चाभासि पक्षवातेन खेचर,आकाशचारी गरुड़! तुम अपने पंखोंके वेगसे उठी हुई वायुद्वारा समुद्रकी जलराशि, पर्वत, वन और काननोंसहित सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वीको अपनी ओर खींचते-से जान पड़ते हो
sa-sāgara-vanām urvī sa-śaila-vana-kānanām | ākarṣann iva cābhāsi pakṣa-vātena khe-cara, ākāśa-cārī garuḍa! |
ഓ ആകാശചാരി ഗരുഡാ! നിന്റെ ചിറകുകളുടെ വേഗത്തിൽ ഉയർന്ന കാറ്റിനാൽ, സമുദ്രങ്ങളും പർവതങ്ങളും വനങ്ങളും കാനനങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെടെ സമസ്ത ഭൂമിയെയും നീ നിന്റെ ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് വലിച്ചിഴയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നുന്നു.
