Haṃsa–Sādhya Saṃvāda: Satya, Dama, Kṣamā and the Discipline of Speech
स्नेहजानिह ते पाशान् वक्ष्यामि शृणु तान् मम । सकर्णकेन शिरसा शक्या: श्रोतुं विजानता
snehajān iha te pāśān vakṣyāmi śṛṇu tān mama | sa-karṇakena śirasā śakyāḥ śrotuṁ vijānatā ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സ്നേഹത്തിൽ നിന്നു ജനിക്കുന്ന ബന്ധനങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു വിവരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വാക്കുകളിൽ നിന്ന് അവ കേൾക്കുക. വിവേകിയേ ജാഗ്രതയുള്ള മനസ്സോടും ശ്രദ്ധാപൂർവമായ ശ്രവണത്തോടും കൂടി ഇത്തരമൊരു ഉപദേശം ശരിയായി ഗ്രഹിക്കാനാകൂ.
