सम्पीडयति य: कालो वृद्धि वार्धुषिको यथा । जैसे ऋण देनेवाला पुरुष व्याजका हिसाब जोड़कर ऋण लेनेवालोंको तंग करता है
sampīḍayati yaḥ kālo vṛddhi-vārdhuṣiko yathā |
പലിശയും വർദ്ധിയും കണക്കുകൂട്ടി കടക്കാരനെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന കടം കൊടുക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെ, കാലവും പകലും രാത്രിയും, മാസവും, ക്ഷണവും, കാഷ്ഠയും, ലവവും, കലയും—അത്യന്തം സൂക്ഷ്മ അളവുകൾവരെ കണക്കാക്കി ജീവികളെ നിരന്തരം പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
