Duryodhana’s Post-Duel Lament and Instructions (भग्नसक्थस्य विलापः)
jānāsi ca mahābāho dharmarājasya yā tvayi
The line highlights the ethical weight of trust placed by a righteous leader (Dharmarāja) in another person; such confidence creates a moral obligation to act with loyalty, restraint, and responsibility.
Vaiśampāyana, narrating events in Śalya Parva, addresses a warrior as “mighty-armed” and reminds him that he already knows Dharmarāja’s favorable regard toward him—setting up counsel or a decision grounded in that relationship of confidence.
