एतच्च कदन कृत्वा शत्रूणामपकारिणाम्
etac ca kadanaṃ kṛtvā śatrūṇām apakāriṇām
മുമ്പ് അപകാരം ചെയ്ത ശത്രുക്കൾക്കെതിരേ ഈ നാശകരമായ പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്ത ശേഷം വൈശമ്പായനൻ തുടർന്നു പറഞ്ഞു—യുദ്ധധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ക്രൂരമായ ന്യായത്തിൽ ഇത് കരുണയാൽ അല്ല; വൈരവും മുറിവും ഉണർത്തിയ പ്രതികാരകൃത്യമാണ്.
