Educational Q&A

The verse presents a vision of dharma as cosmic alignment: when a leader embodies rightful authority and purpose, the powers that sustain the universe (deities representing law, light, breath, fire, and order) gather in support. Ethically, it implies that legitimacy and duty attract collective backing, while disorder isolates.

Vaiśampāyana describes Kumāra Kārttikeya standing in radiant splendor, encircled by major gods and divine groups—the Rudras, Vasus, Ādityas, and the Aśvins—forming a solemn divine retinue around him.
