निरास्वादरसा: सर्वा हतवीर्याश्च सर्वश: । चन्द्रमाके क्षीण होनेसे अन्न आदि ओषधियाँ उत्पन्न नहीं होती थीं। उन सबके स्वाद, रस और प्रभाव नष्ट हो गये
nirāsvādarasāḥ sarvā hatavīryāś ca sarvaśaḥ |
എല്ലാം രുചിയും സാരവും ഇല്ലാത്തതായി; എല്ലായിടത്തും അവയുടെ ശക്തി നശിച്ചു. ചന്ദ്രൻ ക്ഷയിച്ചതിനാൽ ധാന്യങ്ങളും ഔഷധികളും ഉദിച്ചില്ല; ഉദിച്ചതും രുചി, സാരം, പ്രഭാവം എല്ലാം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു.
