Trita in the Well (Udapāna-kathā) — Balarāma’s Tīrtha Observances
तस्मान्नस्त्राहि सर्वा वै यथा न: सोम आविशेत् । “भगवान् चन्द्रमा सदा रोहिणीके ही समीप रहते हैं। वे आपकी बातको कुछ गिनते ही नहीं हैं। हमलोगोंपर स्नेह रखना नहीं चाहते हैं, अतः आप हम सब लोगोंकी रक्षा करें, जिससे चन्द्रमा हमारे साथ भी सम्बन्ध रखें”
tasmān nas trāhi sarvā vai yathā naḥ soma āviśet |
അതിനാൽ ഞങ്ങളെയെല്ലാവരെയും രക്ഷിക്കണമേ, സോമൻ (ചന്ദ്രൻ) ഞങ്ങളോടും ബന്ധം സ്ഥാപിക്കട്ടെ. ഭഗവാൻ ചന്ദ്രൻ എപ്പോഴും രോഹിണിയുടെ സമീപത്താണ്; നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കിനെയും അവൻ ഗണിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഞങ്ങളോടു സ്നേഹം പുലർത്താൻ അവൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളെയെല്ലാവരെയും കാക്കണമേ, ചന്ദ്രൻ ഞങ്ങളോടും ബന്ധം പുലർത്തേണ്ടതിന്.
