अध्याय ३: कृपस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana
सुचिरेणार्जिताल्लोकान् सद्यो युद्धात् समश्षुते । “कौरवो! युद्धधर्मसे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई स्वर्गका श्रेष्ठ मार्ग नहीं है। दीर्घकालतक पुण्यकर्म करनेसे प्राप्त होनेवाले पुण्यलोकोंको वीर क्षत्रिय युद्धसे तत्काल प्राप्त कर लेता है!

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ദീർഘകാലം പുണ്യകർമ്മങ്ങളാൽ സമ്പാദിക്കുന്ന ലോകങ്ങളെ വീരക്ഷത്രിയൻ യുദ്ധത്തിലൂടെ ഉടൻ തന്നെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷത്രിയന് യുദ്ധധർമ്മത്തേക്കാൾ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ സ്വർഗമാർഗം ഇല്ല; ഏറെകാലം കൊണ്ടു ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഫലം സമരത്തിൽ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ ലഭിക്കുന്നു.
