नान्यत् कर्मास्ति पापीय: क्षत्रियस्य पलायनात् | “इसलिये अपने बाप-दादोंके द्वारा आचरणमें लाये हुए धर्मका परित्याग न करो। क्षत्रियके लिये युद्ध छोड़कर भागनेसे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई अत्यन्त पापपूर्ण कर्म नहीं है
nānyat karmāsti pāpīyaḥ kṣatriyasya palāyanāt |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ക്ഷത്രിയന് യുദ്ധത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പലയുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ പാപകരമായ പ്രവൃത്തി മറ്റൊന്നുമില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് പിതൃപിതാമഹന്മാർ ആചരിച്ച ധർമ്മം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കരുത്; രണം വിട്ട് ഓടുക ക്ഷത്രിയന് പരമപാതകം.
