अध्याय ३: कृपस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः
Kṛpa’s Counsel to Duryodhana
भीममभ्यद्रवन् संख्ये पतजड़ा इव पावकम् । उस समय अपने प्राणों और बन्धु-बान्धवोंका मोह छोड़कर रोष और आवेशमें भरे हुए पैदल सैनिक युद्धस्थलमें भीमसेनकी ओर उसी प्रकार दौड़े, जैसे पतंग चलती हुई अतापर टूट पड़ते हैं
bhīmam abhyadravan saṅkhye pataṅgā iva pāvakam |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ ക്രോധവും ആവേശവും നിറഞ്ഞ ആ പാദാതികൾ ജീവമോഹവും ബന്ധു-ബാന്ധവാസക്തിയും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്, യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ ഭീമസേനന്റെ നേരെ, അഗ്നിയിലേക്കു ചാടുന്ന പതംഗങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ പാഞ്ഞെത്തി.
