अध्याय ३: कृपस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति नीत्युपदेशः

आरुह्य जवसम्पन्ना: पादातान् प्रजहुर्भयात् । कुछ महारथी भयके मारे घोड़ोंपर, दूसरे लोग हाथियोंपर और कुछ लोग रथोंपर आरूढ़ हो पैदलोंको वहीं छोड़ बड़े वेगसे भागे
āruhya javasampannāḥ pādātān prajahur bhayāt |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭയത്താൽ വിറച്ച ചില യോദ്ധാക്കൾ വേഗമേറിയ അശ്വങ്ങളിൽ കയറി, പാദസൈന്യത്തെ അവിടെയേ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് മഹാവേഗത്തിൽ പലയനം ചെയ്തു।
