Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शल्यपर्वमें शल्यका युद्धविषयक तेरहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
sañjaya uvāca | cakrāṇāṃ patatāṃ cāpi yugānāṃ ca dharātale samadṛśyanta pārthasya rathamārgeṣu bhārata |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു: ഹേ ഭാരതാ! പാർഥന്റെ രഥപാതകളിൽ ഭൂമിയിൽ വീണുകിടക്കുന്ന ചക്രങ്ങളും യുഗങ്ങളും (ജൂവുകളും) കാണപ്പെട്ടു. അർജുനന്റെ മുന്നേറ്റം കലക്കിയ യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ രഥോപകരണങ്ങളുടെ തകർച്ചകൾ, തൂണീരങ്ങൾ, പതാക-ധ്വജങ്ങൾ, ഈഷകൾ, അനുകർഷങ്ങൾ, ത്രിവേണു മരക്കഷണങ്ങൾ, ധുരങ്ങൾ, കയറുകൾ, ചാട്ടങ്ങൾ—കൂടാതെ കുണ്ഡലവും പഗടിയും ധരിച്ച മുറിഞ്ഞ തലകൾ, ഭുജങ്ങൾ, തോളുകൾ, ഛത്രങ്ങൾ, വ്യജനങ്ങൾ, മുകുടങ്ങൾ—എന്നിവ കൂമ്പാരങ്ങളായി കിടന്നു; അവന്റെ രഥപാതം തന്നെ നഷ്ടത്തിന്റെ ദൃശ്യരേഖയായിത്തീർന്നതുപോലെ.
