नकुल बोले--दुर्योधनके प्रियसाधनमें लगे हुए जिन धृतराष्ट्रपुत्रोने इस द्यूतसभामें द्रपदकुमारी कृष्णाको कठोर बातें सुनायी हैं, कालसे प्रेरित हो मौतके मुँहमें जानेकी इच्छा रखनेवाले उन दुराचारी बहुसंख्यक धुृतराष्ट्रकुमारोंको मैं यमलोकका अतिथि बना दूँगा ।। निदेशाद् धर्मराजस्य द्रौपद्या: पदवीं चरन् । निर्धार्तराष्ट्रां पृथिवीं कर्तास्मि नचिरादिव,धर्मराजकी अज्ञासे द्रौपदीका प्रिय करते हुए मैं सारी पृथिवीको धृतराष्ट्रपुत्रोंसे सूनी कर दूँगा; इसमें अधिक देर नहीं है
nakula uvāca—duryodhanasya priyasādhane lagāḥ ye dhṛtarāṣṭraputrā asyāṃ dyūtasabhāyāṃ drupadakumārīṃ kṛṣṇāṃ kaṭhorāṇi vākyaśaḥ śrāvayām āsuḥ, kālena preritā mṛtyumukhaṃ gantum icchantaḥ te durācārā bahusaṅkhyā dhṛtarāṣṭrakumārāḥ mayā yamalokasyātithayo bhaviṣyanti. nideśād dharmarājasya draupadyāḥ padavīṃ caran nirdhṛtarāṣṭrāṃ pṛthivīṃ kartāsmi na cirād iva.
നകുലൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദുര്യോധനനെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കാനായി ഈ ദ്യൂതസഭയിൽ ദ്രുപദകുമാരി കൃഷ്ണാ (ദ്രൗപദി)യോട് കഠിനവചനങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞ ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രപുത്രർ—അവർ ദുഷ്ടാചാരികൾ; കാലത്തിന്റെ പ്രേരണയാൽ മരണത്തിന്റെ വായിലേക്കു ചാടാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരാണ്. അവരെ ഞാൻ അനേകരെ യമലോകത്തിന്റെ അതിഥികളാക്കും। ധർമ്മരാജന്റെ ആജ്ഞപ്രകാരം, ദ്രൗപദിയുടെ കാര്യം പിന്തുടർന്ന്, ഞാൻ ഉടൻ ഭൂമിയെ ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രപുത്രശൂന്യമാക്കും।
