The verse highlights how powerful natural duties and emotions—especially maternal instinct and the desire for lineage—can persist even when one has consciously abandoned hope. It also suggests that sudden turns in circumstance can revive aspiration, reminding readers to recognize the depth of human vulnerability and compassion within dharmic reflection.
Two queens, previously resigned to childlessness, suddenly come out/approach, their faces drawn yet their breasts full of milk—an image indicating awakened maternity. The narrative moment signals an unexpected development that stirs the palace women and draws them outward at once.
