तेन शब्देन सम्भ्रान्त: सहसान्तःपुरे जनः । निर्जगाम नरव्याप्र राज्ञा सह परंतप,परंतप नरव्याप्र! बालकके उस रोने-चिल्लानेके शब्दसे रनिवासकी सब स्त्रियाँ घबरा उठीं तथा राजाके साथ सहसा बाहर निकलीं

Transliteration

tena śabdena sambhrāntaḥ sahasāntaḥpure janaḥ | nirjagāma naravyāghra rājñā saha parantapa ||

Translation

ആ ബാലന്റെ കരച്ചിൽ-കൂക്കലിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ട് അന്തഃപുരത്തിലെ ജനങ്ങൾ—പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് രാജഗൃഹത്തിലെ സ്ത്രീകൾ—അമ്പരന്ന് കലങ്ങി; ഹേ നരവ്യാഘ്രാ, ഹേ പരന്തപാ! അവർ രാജാവിനോടൊപ്പം പെട്ടെന്ന് പുറത്തേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങി.
