कर्णेन सैन्यस्थापनं तथा नानायुद्धसमवायः

मया हिमवत: शृड्गमेकेनाध्युषितं चिरम्‌ । दृष्टाश्न बहवो देशा नानाधर्मसमावृता:,“मैंने अकेले ही दीर्घकालतक हिमालयके शिखरपर निवास किया है और विभिन्न धर्मोंसे सम्पन्न बहुत-से देश देखे हैं

mayā himavataḥ śṛṅgam ekenādhyuṣitaṃ ciram | dṛṣṭāś ca bahavo deśā nānādharmasamāvṛtāḥ ||

ഞാൻ ഒറ്റയ്ക്കായി ഹിമവത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ശിഖരത്തിൽ ദീർഘകാലം വസിച്ചു; നാനാവിധ ധർമ്മങ്ങളാൽ മൂടപ്പെട്ട അനേകം ദേശങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
