कर्णेन सैन्यस्थापनं तथा नानायुद्धसमवायः
Karna Reforms the Host and Multiple Duels Converge
ब्राह्मण: किल नो गेहमध्यगच्छत् पुरातिथि: । आचार ं तत्र सम्प्रेक्ष्य प्रीतो वचनमत्रवीत्,पूर्वकालमें एक ब्राह्मण अतिथिरूपसे हमारे घरपर ठहरा था। उसने हमारे यहाँका आचार-विचार देखकर प्रसन्नता प्रकट करते हुए यह बात कही--
brāhmaṇaḥ kila no geham adhyagacchat purātithiḥ | ācāraṃ tatra samprekṣya prīto vacanam abravīt ||
ഒരിക്കൽ ഒരു ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ—പഴയകാലത്തെ അതിഥി—ഞങ്ങളുടെ വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു. അവിടത്തെ ആചാരം കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു.
