avadhīt samare putraḥ pitā bharatasattama

Translation

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭരതസത്തമാ! ആ ഘോരസമരത്തിൽ പുത്രൻ പിതാവിനെ വധിച്ചു; സ്വധർമ്മം മറിഞ്ഞു, യുദ്ധമോഹത്തിൽ സ്വജനങ്ങൾ സ്വജനങ്ങളെയേ കൊന്നുതുടങ്ങി.
