कुरूणां सृञजयानां च जिगीषूणां परस्परम् । सिंहानामिव संह्वादो दिवमुर्वी च नादयन्
sañjaya uvāca | kurūṇāṃ sṛñjayānāṃ ca jigīṣūṇāṃ parasparam | siṃhānām iva saṃhrādo divam urvīṃ ca nādayan |
കുരുക്കളും സൃഞ്ജയരും പരസ്പരം ജയിക്കണമെന്ന ആഗ്രഹത്തോടെ സിംഹങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ഗർജിച്ചു; അവരുടെ സിംഹനാദം ഭൂമിയെയും ആകാശത്തെയും മുഴക്കിച്ചു।
