Dāna-Śreṣṭhatā: Abhaya, Anugraha, and the Ethics of Honoring the Worthy (दानश्रेष्ठता: अभय-अनुग्रह-विप्रपूजा)
ब्राह्माण्यं मे कुलस्यास्तु भगवन्नेष मे वर: । पुनश्चाख्यातुमिच्छामि भगवन् विस्तरेण वै,भगवन्! मेरा कुल ब्राह्मण हो जाय, यही मेरा अभीष्ट वर है। प्रभो! मैं इस विषयको पुनः विस्तारके साथ सुनना चाहता हूँ
brāhmaṇyaṁ me kulasyāstu bhagavann eṣa me varaḥ | punaś cākhyātum icchāmi bhagavan vistareṇa vai ||
കുശികൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭഗവൻ, എന്റെ കുലത്തിന് ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യം ലഭിക്കട്ടെ; ഇതാണ് എന്റെ വരം. പിന്നെയും, പ്രഭോ, ഈ കാര്യം ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും വിശദമായി കേൾക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
