Devaśarmā–Vipula Dialogue on Ahorātra–Ṛtu as Moral Witnesses (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय ४३)
“विपुल गुरुपत्नीके शरीरको स्तम्भित करके उसकी रक्षामें संलग्न हो वहीं निवास करने लगे। परंतु रुचिको अपने शरीरमें उनके आनेका पता न चला ।।
yaṃ kālaṃ nāgato rājan gurus tasya mahātmanaḥ | kratuṃ samāpya svagṛhaṃ taṃ kālaṃ so ’bhyarakṣata ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ, ആ മഹാത്മാവായ ഗുരു യാഗം സമാപിച്ച് സ്വന്തം ഗൃഹത്തിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിവരുന്നതുവരെ, വിപുലൻ അതുപോലെ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ ഗുരുപത്നിയെ കാത്തുകൊണ്ട് അവിടെ തന്നേ പാർത്തു.
