कि त्वस्था: परमं रूपं जीर्णमासीत्‌ कथ॑ं पुनः । कन्यारूपमिहाद्यैवं किमिवात्रोत्तरं भवेत्‌

kiṁ tv asthāḥ paramaṁ rūpaṁ jīrṇam āsīt kathaṁ punaḥ | kanyārūpam ihādyaivaṁ kim ivātrottaraṁ bhavet ||

അഷ്ടാവക്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—എന്നാൽ അവളുടെ ഈ പരമസുന്ദര രൂപം മുമ്പ് ജരയാൽ ജീർണ്ണമായത് എങ്ങനെ? ഇപ്പോൾ ഇവിടെ അവൾ എങ്ങനെ കന്യാരൂപത്തിൽ വീണ്ടും പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു? ഇത്തരമൊരു സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ ഇവിടെ എന്ത് മറുപടിയാണ് പറയാൻ കഴിയുക?
