प्रतर्दनो दिवोदास: सुदास: कोसलेश्वर: । ऐलो नलश्न राजर्षिमिनुश्चैव प्रजापति:
pratardano divodāsaḥ sudāsaḥ kosaleśvaraḥ | ailo nalaś ca rājarṣir manuś caiva prajāpatiḥ ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഇനിയും ഈ രാജർഷിമാരുടെ നാമങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കുക: പ്രതർദനൻ, ദിവോദാസൻ, കോസലാധിപൻ സുദാസൻ, ഐലൻ (പുരൂരവസ്), രാജർഷി നലൻ, പ്രജാപതി മനു. ഇവരും പുരാണങ്ങളിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമായ മറ്റു പ്രാചീന പുണ്യാത്മ രാജാക്കളും സ്മരണീയരാണ്. ഒരാൾ ദിനംപ്രതി പ്രഭാതത്തിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് സ്നാനത്താൽ ശുദ്ധനായി പ്രാതഃകാലത്തും സായാഹ്നകാലത്തും ഈ നാമങ്ങൾ പാരായണം ചെയ്താൽ, അവൻ ധർമ്മഫലത്തിൽ പങ്കാളിയാകും.”
