आटद्य: प्रकीर्तितो राजन् सर्वपापप्रमोचन: । राजन! यह आदियमें होनेवाले देवता और ऋषियोंका मुख्य समुदाय अपने नामका कीर्तन करनेपर मनुष्यको सब पापोंसे मुक्त करता है
āṭadyaḥ prakīrtito rājan sarvapāpapramocanaḥ |
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ, ആടദ്യൻ സർവപാപപ്രമോചകനായി പ്രസിദ്ധനാണ്. ആദിയുഗത്തിൽ ഉദ്ഭവിച്ച ദേവന്മാരുടെയും ഋഷിമാരുടെയും പ്രധാനസഭയും പറയുന്നു—അവന്റെ നാമകീർത്തനം ചെയ്താൽ മനുഷ്യൻ എല്ലാ പാപങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും മോചിതനാകും।
