ऋषिरुग्रश्नवाश्वैव भार्गवश्ष्यवनस्तथा । अब जो उत्तर दिशाका आश्रय लेकर अपनी उन्नति करते हैं
ṛṣir ugraśravāś caiva bhārgavaś cyavanas tathā |
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഉത്തരദിശയെ ആശ്രയിച്ച് ആത്മോന്നതി പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന ഋഷിമാരുടെ നാമങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കുക—അത്രി, വസിഷ്ഠൻ, ശക്തി, പരാശരനന്ദനനായ ശക്തിമാൻ വ്യാസൻ, വിശ്വാമിത്രൻ, ഭരദ്വാജൻ, ഋചീകപുത്രൻ ജമദഗ്നി, പരശുരാമൻ, ഉദ്ദാലകപുത്രൻ ശ്വേതകേതു, കോഹലൻ, വിപുലൻ, ദേവലൻ, ദേവശർമ, ധൗമ്യൻ, ഹസ്തികാശ്യപൻ, ലോമശൻ, നാചികേതൻ, ലോമഹർഷണൻ, ഉഗ്രശ്രവാ ഋഷി, ഭൃഗുനന്ദനൻ ച്യവനൻ।
