न तेषां भिद्यते वृत्तं यज्ञा: स्वाध्यायकर्म च । आचार: कारणं चैव धर्मश्वैकस्त्रयं पुन:
na teṣāṁ bhidyate vṛttaṁ yajñāḥ svādhyāya-karma ca | ācāraḥ kāraṇaṁ caiva dharmaś caikaḥ trayaṁ punaḥ ||
അത്തരം സന്ന്യാസികളുടെയോ സദ്ജനങ്ങളുടെയോ സ്ഥിരമായ ജീവിതവൃത്തം ഒരിക്കലും ഭംഗപ്പെടുകയില്ല; അവരുടെ യജ്ഞങ്ങൾക്കും സ്വാധ്യായത്തിനും മറ്റ് പുണ്യകർമ്മങ്ങൾക്കും തടസ്സം വരികയുമില്ല. അവരിൽ ആചാരം, അതിനെ വിശദീകരിക്കുന്ന വേദശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ, ധർമ്മം—ഈ മൂന്നും പരസ്പരം വിരോധിക്കാതെ ഒരേ ഐക്യത്തിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു.
