अभ्यद्रवन्त देवांस्ते सहस्नाणि दशैव हि । ततस्तैरदिता देवा: शरणं वासवं ययु:

Transliteration

abhyadravant devāṁs te sahasrāṇi daśaiva hi | tatas tair aditā devāḥ śaraṇaṁ vāsavaṁ yayuḥ ||

Translation

അവർ—സംഖ്യയിൽ പത്തായിരം—ദേവന്മാരുടെ മേൽ പാഞ്ഞുകയറി; അവരാൽ പീഡിതരായ ദേവന്മാർ ഓടി വാസവൻ (ഇന്ദ്രൻ) എന്നവന്റെ ശരണം പ്രാപിച്ചു.
