कीर्तयन् प्रयत: सर्वान् सर्वपापै: प्रमुच्यते । इसी प्रकार नन्दीश्वर
kīrtayan prayataḥ sarvān sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate |
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“യത്നത്തോടെയും ആത്മനിയന്ത്രണത്തോടെയും ശുദ്ധഭാവത്തോടെയും ഇവരൊക്കെയുടെയും നാമങ്ങൾ കീർത്തിക്കുന്നവൻ സകലപാപങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും വിമുക്തനാകുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ നന്ദീശ്വരൻ, മഹാകായൻ, ഗ്രാമണി, വൃഷഭധ്വജൻ; സർവ്വലോകനാഥനായ ഗണേശൻ—വിനായകൻ—കൂടാതെ സൗമ്യഗണങ്ങൾ, രുദ്രഗണങ്ങൾ, യോഗഗണങ്ങൾ, ഭൂതഗണങ്ങൾ; നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ, നദികൾ, ആകാശം; പക്ഷിരാജൻ ഗരുഡൻ; ഭൂമിയിൽ തപസ്സാൽ സിദ്ധി നേടിയ മഹാത്മാക്കൾ; സ്ഥാവരവും ജംഗമവും; ഹിമാലയം ഉൾപ്പെടെ എല്ലാ പർവ്വതങ്ങളും; നാലു സമുദ്രങ്ങൾ; ശങ്കരനോടു തുല്യപരാക്രമമുള്ള അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അനുചരഗണങ്ങൾ; കൂടാതെ വിഷ്ണു, ജിഷ്ണു, സ്കന്ദൻ, അംബിക—ഇവരുടെ നാമങ്ങൾ ശുദ്ധഹൃദയത്തോടെ ഉച്ചരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു।”
