धौग्य उवाच
This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it signals the completion of a chapter whose subject is the 'secret concerning the gods' within the broader instruction on dāna-dharma (the ethics and religious duty of giving). Its function is to frame the preceding material as authoritative dharma-teaching and to mark a textual boundary.
The speaker label 'Dhaumya said' is followed by an editorial-style closing statement announcing that the 127th chapter (on a divine secret) in the Dāna-dharma portion of the Anuśāsana Parva has concluded. It is a formal end-of-chapter marker in the Gītā Press presentation.
