Householder Duties and Daily Offerings
इस प्रकार बलि समर्पण करके ब्राह्मणको विधिपूर्वक भिक्षा दे। यदि ब्राह्मण न मिले तो अन्नमेंसे थोड़ा-सा अग्रग्रास निकालकर उसका अग्निमें होम कर दे ।।
yadā śrāddhaṃ pitṛbhyo 'pi dātum icchet mānavaḥ | tadā paścāt prakurvīta nivṛtte śrāddhakarmaṇi ||
ഇങ്ങനെ ബലി സമർപ്പിച്ച് ബ്രാഹ്മണന് വിധിപ്രകാരം ഭിക്ഷ നൽകണം. ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ ലഭ്യമല്ലെങ്കിൽ, അന്നത്തിൽ നിന്ന് അഗ്രഗ്രാസം എടുത്ത് അഗ്നിയിൽ ഹോമം ചെയ്യണം. പിന്നെ, മനുഷ്യൻ പിതൃകൾക്കായും ശ്രാദ്ധം നൽകാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, പ്രധാന ശ്രാദ്ധകർമ്മം സമാപിച്ചതിന് ശേഷം മാത്രമേ അത് പിന്നീടു നടത്താവൂ.
