Householder Duties and Daily Offerings
पितृन् संतर्पयित्वा तु बलिं कुर्याद् विधानतः । वैश्वदेवं ततः कुर्यात् पश्चाद् ब्राह्यगवाचनम्
pitṝn santarpayitvā tu baliṁ kuryād vidhānataḥ | vaiśvadevaṁ tataḥ kuryāt paścād brāhyagavācanam ||
ആദ്യം വിധിപ്രകാരം പിതൃകളെ തർപ്പണത്തോടെ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തി, പിന്നെ നിയമാനുസാരം ബലി അർപ്പിക്കണം. അതിനുശേഷം വൈശ്വദേവകർമ്മം നിർവഹിച്ച്, അവസാനം ബ്രാഹ്മണ്യവിദ്യയുടെ സ്വാധ്യായവും ഉപദേശവും നടത്തണം—ഇതാണ് ഗൃഹസ്ഥധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ക്രമം.
