वैशम्पायन उवाच तच्छुत्वा मन्दपालस्तु वचस्तेषां दिवौकसाम्‌ । क्व नु शीघ्रमपत्यं स्याद्‌ बहुलं चेत्यचिन्तयत्‌

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tac chrutvā mandapālas tu vacas teṣāṃ divaukasām | kva nu śīghram apatyaṃ syād bahulaṃ cety acintayat ||

Translation

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ജനമേജയാ! ദേവന്മാരുടെ ആ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട മന്ദപാലൻ ആഴമായി ആലോചിച്ചു—എവിടെ ചെന്നാൽ എനിക്ക് വേഗത്തിൽ ധാരാളം സന്താനം ലഭിക്കും എന്ന്.
