Bhīṣma’s Counsel on Reconciliation and Partition (भीष्मोपदेशः—संधि-राज्यविभागविचारः)

युधिछिर उवाच न मे वागनृतं प्राह नाधर्मे धीयते मतिः । वर्तते हि मनो मे5त्र नैषो5धर्म: कथंचन

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | na me vāg anṛtaṃ prāha nādharme dhīyate matiḥ | vartate hi mano me 'tra naiṣo 'dharmaḥ kathaṃcana ||

യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—എന്റെ വാക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും അസത്യം പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല; എന്റെ ബുദ്ധിയും ഒരിക്കലും അധർമ്മത്തിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുന്നില്ല. എങ്കിലും ഈ വിവാഹത്തിലേക്ക് എന്റെ മനസ്സ് തിരിയുന്നു; അതിനാൽ ഇത് ഒരുവിധത്തിലും അധർമ്മമല്ല.
