प्राणाधिकं भीमसेनं कृतविद्यं धनंजयम् । धार्तराष्ट्रा दुरात्मानो नामृष्यन्त परस्परम्
prāṇādhikaṃ bhīmasenaṃ kṛtavidyaṃ dhanaṃjayam | dhārtarāṣṭrā durātmāno nāmṛṣyanta parasparam ||
ഭീമസേനൻ പ്രാണബലത്തിൽ അതിക്രമിക്കുന്നവനെന്നും ധനഞ്ജയൻ (അർജുനൻ) അസ്ത്രവിദ്യയിൽ കൃതവിദ്യനെന്നും കണ്ട ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രന്റെ ദുരാത്മ പുത്രന്മാർ അതു സഹിച്ചില്ല; അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ അസൂയയും വൈരവും ജ്വലിച്ചു.
