Origin of Droṇa and Acquisition of Martial Science
अपालयत् सर्ववर्णान् पिता पुत्रानिवौरसान् । यजमानो महायज्जैत्रद्वाणेभ्यो धनं ददौ
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
apālayat sarvavarṇān pitā putrān ivaurasān |
yajamāno mahāyajñair dvijebhyo dhanaṃ dadau ||
അവൻ പിതാവ് തന്റെ ഔരസ പുത്രന്മാരെ പോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ എല്ലാ വർണങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള പ്രജകളെ സംരക്ഷിച്ചു പോഷിച്ചു. യജമാനനായി മഹാക്രതുക്കൾ അനുഷ്ഠിച്ച് ദ്വിജന്മാർക്ക് (വിശേഷിച്ച് ബ്രാഹ്മണർക്കു) ധനം ദാനം ചെയ്തു.
