The Birth of Kṛpa and Kṛpī; Kṛpa’s Attainment of Astras
मृगाभिशापान्नष्टं मे जननं हाकृतात्मन: । नृशंसकारिणो भीरु यथैवोपहतं पुरा
mṛgābhiśāpān naṣṭaṃ me jananaṃ hākṛtātmanaḥ | nṛśaṃsakāriṇo bhīru yathaivopahataṃ purā ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— മൃഗത്തിന്റെ ശാപം മൂലം എന്റെ സന്താനോത്പാദനശക്തി നശിച്ചു. ഞാൻ എന്നെ തന്നെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; ക്രൂരകർമ്മം ചെയ്തു. ഭീരുവേ, അതിനാൽ മുൻപ് ഞാൻ ആ മൃഗത്തെ കൊന്ന് അതിന്റെ സംഗമം തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തിയതുപോലെ തന്നെ എന്റെ ജനനശക്തിയും തകർന്നു।
