धर्म्यमर्थसमायुक्तमुवाच वचन हितम् | कौसल्ये धर्मतन्त्र॑ त्वां यद् ब्रवीमि निबोध तत्
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
dharmyam arthasamāyuktam uvāca vacanaṁ hitam |
kausalyē dharmatantre tvaṁ yad bravīmi nibodha tat ||
അവൾ ധാർമ്മികവും അർത്ഥസമ്മതവും ഹിതകരവുമായ വചനങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു— “കൗസല്യേ, ധർമ്മശാസനത്തിൽ നിലകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു ഗ്രഹിക്ക.”
