प्रागुदक्प्रवणे देशे तथा युञ्जीत शास्त्रवित् कामं वितर्कं प्रीतिं च सुखदुःखे उभे तथा

prāgudakpravaṇe deśe tathā yuñjīta śāstravit kāmaṃ vitarkaṃ prītiṃ ca sukhaduḥkhe ubhe tathā

കിഴക്കോട്ടും ജലത്തോട്ടും ചരിവുള്ള സ്ഥലത്ത് ശാസ്ത്രവിദ് യോഗം അഭ്യസിക്കണം—കാമം, വിതർക്കം, പ്രീതി/ആസക്തി, കൂടാതെ സുഖ-ദുഃഖം ഇരണ്ടും നിയന്ത്രിക്കണം—അപ്പോൾ പാശബന്ധിത പശു പാശങ്ങളെ ശിഥിലമാക്കി പതി ശിവനിലേക്കു തിരിയും.
