ध्यानयज्ञः, संसार-विष-निरूपणम्, पाशुपतयोगः, परा-अपरा विद्या, चतुर्वस्था-विचारः (अध्यायः ८६)

क्रमो ऽयं मलपूर्णस्य ज्ञानप्राप्तेर्द्विजोत्तमाः तस्मादनेन मार्गेण त्यक्तसंगो दृढव्रतः

kramo 'yaṃ malapūrṇasya jñānaprāpterdvijottamāḥ tasmādanena mārgeṇa tyaktasaṃgo dṛḍhavrataḥ

ഹേ ദ്വിജോത്തമാ! മലത്താൽ നിറഞ്ഞ ജീവന് ജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന ക്രമം ഇതാണ്. അതിനാൽ ഇതേ മാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ—സംഗാസക്തി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്, ദൃഢവ്രതത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരനായി—പശുവിനെ പതി (ശിവൻ) ദിശയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുന്ന ജ്ഞാനം ലഭിക്കുന്നു.
