Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It teaches that in Jyeṣṭha, simple yet complete reverence—añjali offered to the Liṅga-mūrti—is a valid and exalted mode of worship, endorsed by the paradigmatic devotees Brahmā and Viṣṇu.
Śiva is presented as Pati (Lord) and as Liṅga-mūrti—the transcendent reality made worship-accessible through the Liṅga, while remaining the sovereign of Śakti (Umāpati).
The practice highlighted is añjali (joined palms) as an act of śaraṇāgati (surrender) to Pati—an inwardly focused devotion aligned with Pāśupata orientation rather than elaborate external rites.
