Adhyaya 8: Yogasthanas, Ashtanga Yoga, Pranayama-Siddhi, and Shiva-Dhyana leading to Samadhi

कालान्तरवशाद्योगाद् दम्यते परमादरात् तथा परिचयात्स्वास्थ्यं समत्वं चाधिगच्छति

kālāntaravaśādyogād damyate paramādarāt tathā paricayātsvāsthyaṃ samatvaṃ cādhigacchati

കാലക്രമത്തിൽ നിരന്തര അഭ്യാസവും പരമാദരത്തോടെ ചെയ്ത യോഗവും മനസ്സിനെ ദമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ആ ശാസനയോടുള്ള തുടർച്ചയായ പരിചയത്തിലൂടെ साधകൻ അന്തഃസ്ഥൈര്യവും സമദർശനവും നേടുന്നു—പതി ശിവന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തിൽ പശുജീവൻ പാശബന്ധം ശിഥിലമാക്കാൻ യോഗ്യനാകുന്നു।
