Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

नानाकृतिक्रियारूपनामवन्ति स्वलीलया महेश्वरः शरीराणि करोति विकरोति च

nānākṛtikriyārūpanāmavanti svalīlayā maheśvaraḥ śarīrāṇi karoti vikaroti ca

സ്വലീലകൊണ്ട്, അനവധി ആകൃതികളും ക്രിയകളും രൂപങ്ങളും നാമങ്ങളും ഉള്ള ശരീരങ്ങളെ മഹേശ്വരൻ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും പരിവർത്തനം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു॥
