Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

अबुद्धिपूर्वकाः सर्गाः प्राकृतास्तु त्रयः स्मृताः बुद्धिपूर्वं प्रवर्तन्ते षट् पुनर्ब्रह्मणस्तु ते

abuddhipūrvakāḥ sargāḥ prākṛtāstu trayaḥ smṛtāḥ buddhipūrvaṃ pravartante ṣaṭ punarbrahmaṇastu te

ബുദ്ധി പ്രകടമാകുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് സംഭവിക്കുന്ന മൂന്ന് സൃഷ്ടികൾ ‘പ്രാകൃത’ എന്നു സ്മൃതമാണ്. എന്നാൽ ബുദ്ധിയെ മുൻഅധാരമാക്കി പ്രവഹിക്കുന്ന ആറു സൃഷ്ടികൾ ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികൾ—പ്രഭു (പതി)യുടെ ശക്തിയാൽ സൃഷ്ടികാര്യങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്നതാണ്.
