FAQs

This verse situates Linga Purana’s Shaiva teaching within a dharmic lineage narrative—showing how righteous fame and order in society are sustained under Shiva as Pati (the Lord), even when the immediate verse is genealogical rather than ritualistic.

Implicitly, it reflects Shiva-tattva as the ground of order (niyati) in creation: celebrated lineages and their continuity unfold within the cosmic governance of Pati, while beings (pashus) move through embodied births under pasha (karmic bonds).

No specific puja-vidhi or Pashupata Yoga practice is stated in this shloka; its function is genealogical (vamsha-varnana), supporting the broader Purana framework in which dharma and devotion to Mahadeva are transmitted through lineages.
