ग्रहसंख्यावर्णनम् — ध्रुवस्य तपोबलात् ध्रुवस्थानप्राप्तिः
तमभ्ययुर्महात्मानं बुद्धिमोहाय भीषणाः जपन् स वासुदेवेति न किंचित् प्रत्यपद्यत
tamabhyayurmahātmānaṃ buddhimohāya bhīṣaṇāḥ japan sa vāsudeveti na kiṃcit pratyapadyata
ബുദ്ധിയെ മോഹിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഭീകരർ ആ മഹാത്മാവിന്മേൽ പാഞ്ഞെത്തി; എന്നാൽ അദ്ദേഹം “വാസുദേവ” എന്നു ജപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അല്പവും വഴങ്ങുകയോ കുലുങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്തില്ല.
