Surya-Rashmi Svarupa Kathana
तद्वत्सहस्रकिरणो ग्रहराजो जगत्प्रभुः सूर्यो गोभिर् जगत् सर्वम् आदीपयति सर्वतः
tadvatsahasrakiraṇo graharājo jagatprabhuḥ sūryo gobhir jagat sarvam ādīpayati sarvataḥ
അതുപോലെ സഹസ്രകിരണൻ, ഗ്രഹരാജൻ, ജഗത്പ്രഭുവായ സൂര്യൻ തന്റെ കിരണങ്ങളാൽ സമസ്ത വിശ്വത്തെയും സർവ്വദിക്കിലും പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു।

By praising the Sun’s all-pervading light, the verse prepares the reader to recognize a higher Jyoti—Shiva as Pati—whose Linga is the transcendent source of illumination that makes all worldly lights meaningful.
Indirectly, it uses Surya’s universal radiance as an analogy: just as sunlight pervades and reveals the world, Shiva-tattva is the supreme revealing Consciousness (prakāśa) that dispels pasha (bondage) and enables the pashu (soul) to know reality.
It points to dhyāna on jyoti (inner light): in Pashupata-oriented contemplation, the aspirant turns from external illumination to the inner, Shiva-given light that supports japa, linga-pūjā, and steady awareness.
