FAQs

It prescribes mantra-samskāra (sanctification by Oṁ) and the correct preparation of pādya as an upacāra, emphasizing purity and intentionality in serving the Liṅga as the supreme Pati.

By directing that offerings be sanctified with the Praṇava before being presented, it implies Shiva as the transcendent reality accessible through mantra and devotion—Pati who receives worship when the worshipper’s substances and intention are purified.

A practical puja step: preparing pādya with uśīra and sandalwood after invoking Oṁ—showing disciplined, mindful worship that aligns the pashu (worshipper) toward release from pāśa through regulated devotion.
