विष्णुरुवाच—एकाक्षर-प्रणव-लिङ्ग-व्याप्ति-शिवस्तोत्रम्

ईशानाय श्मशानाय अतिवेगाय वेगिने नमो ऽस्तु श्रुतिपादाय ऊर्ध्वलिङ्गाय लिङ्गिने

īśānāya śmaśānāya ativegāya vegine namo 'stu śrutipādāya ūrdhvaliṅgāya liṅgine

ഈശാനൻ—ശ്മശാനവാസി—അതിവേഗി, വേഗവാനായവനോട് നമോऽസ്തു. ആരുടെ പാദങ്ങളേ ശ്രുതി (വേദം) ആകുന്നുവോ ആ ശ്രുതിപാദനോട്; ഊർധ്വലിംഗത്തോടും ലിംഗീ (ലിംഗാധിപതി)യോടും പ്രണാമം.
